Welcome to our new monthly blog called Geriatrics and Tricks or G&T as we like to call it.
With this monthly blog we aim to publish different stories from different people’s perspective, and we encourage our residents and their family to contribute if they feel they have a story to share.
We challenge all our residents’ family members to send us some funny, yet loving stories regarding their experiences with their loved ones. All this will be kept confidential (names will be left out) and cared with utmost dignity to all parties. This blog will be a platform where we can laugh with each other and not at each other. Stories can be sent to info@utilitas.co.za.
This month we would like to keep all our residents and family up to date with the exciting changes that has taken place the last few months and exciting new changes to come. As you will see, our company is changing with the times and has a brand-new corporate look. Our name has changed from Utilitas Bellville to Utilitas Retirement Centres. Our new logo symbolizes unity and reaching out to the community. You might have seen our new logo starting to appear in places and in the coming months our signage at all our Retirement Centres will also be changed. Out with the old and in with the new as the saying goes, but don’t worry. This does not mean our main mission and vision has changed. We still strive for quality service which means quality life to all our residents.
In February after years of planning, Huis Oakdale opened its doors! Please have a look on our website for all the information, history and photos of our fantastic new house for the aged.
We also would like to thank all our residents, their family and friends for the continued support and cooperation during these trying times. We cannot fight this battle alone and appreciate everyone’s support.
“Every woman’s success should be an inspiration to another. We’re strongest when we cheer each other on.” – Serena Williams
Happy women’s month to each of our female residents, employees and family members!
